dUg Pinnick - "Blind" non-album single

Dug Pinnick: "Angel EP"
Single from King's X bassist/vocalist, released in advance of his 2nd solo album.

The song 'Blind' is not on the "Strum Sum Up" album.

"Why wasn't blind on the original CD of Strum Sum Up? It's a great track, and is the only one I purchased from the EP because I bought the CD. Maybe it's just a marketing thing, but if you don't have Blind you need to pick it up to complete the CD. It's rough, it's loud and it just fits Dug and what he's done in this recent solo outing. It's grand." - iTunes customer review

★ Ethan Brosh ★ Out of Oblivion ★

Simply put, this is trend-bucking arena rock for instrumental guitar music freaks. Ethan Brosh's perfect balancing act of accessible yet atmospheric metal neither panders nor alienates. Out of Oblivion is the dramatic climax to Brosh s decade-long ascendancy to bona fide guitar hero status.

Mike Mangini (Extreme, Steve Vai) on drums
Gerorge Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) guitar solos on Downward Spiral
Greg Howe guitar solo on Blade Runner
Art work of Derek Riggs (Iron Maiden)
Album was mixed by Chris Tsangarites (Ozzy, Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen)

Brosh s flawless technique references Bach as easily as headbanger metal icons Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, neo-classical shredder Yngwie Malmsteen, and classic rockers Boston.

MoeTar at ROS-fest 2013

..

MoeTar is playing on May 5th, 2013 in Gettysburg PA for ROS-fest 2013.

Bay Area-based modern progressive rock band, MoeTar, collects seemingly disparate and opposing sonic forces to create a coherent artistic statement for their Magna Carta Records debut, From These Small Seeds.

MoeTar’s two main protagonists, lead singer Moorea Dickason and bassist/songwriter/lyricist Tarik Ragab, along with a versatile crew of musicians, including guitarist Matthew Charles Heulitt (Zigaboo Modeliste, Narada Michael Walden), drummer David Flores and keyboardist Matt Lebofsky (miRthkon) create catchy, yet complex, music that attempts to make sense of our confusing world.

On paper the music shouldn’t work at all. The band flies in the face of logic, yet not a musical note seems out of place. Flaunting their musical fluency, MoeTar doesn’t avoid challenges: they appear to actively court and thrive on them. Indeed. Inherent contradictions are the subject of many of the band’s songs.

So much of what I write about involves paradoxes,” says Ragab. “It seems the rules are set in contradiction to one another.”

Half the fun of listening to MoeTar is hearing how well all of these seemingly incompatible musical pieces fit together. Amid sonic references to Zappa, The Beatles, XTC, Gentle Giant, Stevie Wonder, Laurie Anderson and many others, MoeTar offers a fresh approach to rock, pop, electronica and experimental music. Simply put, From These Small Seeds is the culmination of a collision of styles that seems to defy the odds – and our ears.

MoeTar is:

Moorea Dickason - Vocals • Tarik Ragab - Bass • Matt Lebofsky - Keys • Matthew Heulitt - Guitar • David M Flores - Drums
